My apologies if I repeat other replies, I'm away from home and retrieving my
messages is a little haphazzard, but- this are the things that I have done on
my TR3A:
1. Put in an overflow bottle (at least what boils over doesn't go all over the
street)
2. Got the right radiator cap. - 4 lp, 3/4" reach.(as I recall)
3. Put in the cowl to direct airflow,
4. Replaced the thermostat and plugged the bypass pipe.
5. Added Red Line water wetter,
6. Made up a gasket to go in the radiator cap to improve suction back from the
overflow bottle, don't really know if that did any good.
7. Had the radiator cleaned and patched (while the car was apart for the
restoration)
8. Finally, added a fan in front of the radiator.
With the electric fan I seem to be able to handle any situation, but I would
use that new 6 impellor water pump if I ever have to replace the pump.
