Now that Fred has cleaned us impoverished Brits out of overdrive units and all
the NOS we were hiding for our own consumption ...
Negotiating roundabouts is a piece of ***s - regardless of where you drive in
Europe.  For real excitement Fred, start your next Euro trip by landing in
Paris. At least you'll be on 'your' side of the road - but then try driving
round the Arc de Triomphe in the rush hour and then you'll really have cause
for concern.
BTW, I hope the polish you bought in the car parts shop at the end of Day 2,
satisfactorily removed the scratch on your rental car........?
