Happy Holidays List!
I would like to thank all of you who responded to my question
regarding Problem #2 of the Dash Lamp Rheostat not working. I did as was
suggested of jumping the RED wire [from fuse box] to the Red/White wire
[working the rheostate/dash lamps]. This caused the dash lamps to remain
on at full power. The only thing is that I couldn't see the dash lamps
on. So I pulled out the Water Temp Gauge Lamp out of its hole & grounded
it to then see it light up. Therefore I 'Jumped' to the conclusion that
the Dash Lamps were working. So I removed the Dash Rheostat out of the
fisca & cleaned the 4 male terminals, blew out the inside [In case any
corrosion was forming on the coils. I didn't see any corrosion, but went
through the motions anyway.].
I then installed everything the right way & LOOKED Really hard at
the dash lamps to see them working. My conclusion is that the unit was
probably working all along but the illumination of the lamps were so
week that I couldn't see them glowing. :-[
Again, thanks to all whom responded to me, & I'm sorry about that.
So I really don't know if what I did helped of was just a waste of time.
