As do I to one and all - except for the better part of 60 years I've been
accustomed to saying Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year when it used to
mean far more than it does now - but I'll be damned if I'm going to change
at this stage. However, to those whose personal credences allow celebrations
at other times of the year, have a good time when it comes. Roll on 2nd
January when this period of excess, flagrant expenditure and the opportunity
for a good family row is as far away as it can be for another year.
