It has been nearly twenty years since I took driving lessons here in UK.
AT that time they cost GBP10.00 per hour, and it was estimated that a
new driver needed at least ten lessons (I passed after ten lessons). The
test was about GBP30, IIRC. I've just checked on-line, and the cost of
lessons is now GBP21.00 (about USD30) per hour, making the total cost of
getting a licence approximately GBP250 (USD400), or less than a half of
the minimum cost in Sweden!
