Some TR6s were wired from the factory so they wouldn't start unless your 
seat belts were fastened. The seat belt timer/lockout module is hidden 
behind the glove box. There is a big round connector with a bunch of wires 
going into it. On my car (1974 1/2 TR6) I disabled the lockout by  shorting 
together WR (white wire with red stripe) and WO (white wire with orange 
stripe). To kill the buzzer just  pull the round plug out.

Triumph used a few different seat belt schemes so your car might be different.

Dan Masters' book on the TR6 electrical system covers the differences in 
detail.
