While tidying up the TR4 for tonight's wedding -- surprisingly Pam *asked* to
take the car despite the incredible risk of hair mussing -- I was working on a
strategic placement of a fleece blanket over the cracked leather of the bench
seat. I realized that while the bench and surround, as well as the door panels,
are original and still red, the front seats are now red.
But they're different reds. The original leather-faced seats were recovered by
the PO with vinyl seat covers from Moss, and the new red is a darker somewhat
burgundy-looking red. The old red is faded, but rear quarters panels that have
rarely seen sun are a bright, primary red.
Were there different reds available back then? Are there different reds now? And
finally, who sells the TR4 rear bench seat?
