Not sure how similar the TR6 steering lock is to the spitfires/GT6s, but I 
used 3/4" long  (Allen hex) Socket cap screws and they fit PERFECTLY.  The 
thread on the screws was 5/16 UNC.  Cost was cheap  :-)  I got them for 
free from the machine shop at work; you should be able to get them at any 
industrial fastener supplier that is willing to sell just two bolts!
