Hello all:
Perhaps this question has been asked a thousand times. If so, sorry and
please point me to the site with the answer.
Is there a "motorcycle" tire that can be used for the TR6 spare? By that I
mean those light high-pressure jobs that most cars use nowadays. I spend
most of my time running short distances (15 miles and back). A light spare
would be fine to get me home and would free up some space in the boot. Of
course I would carry the full size for long distance.
I would prefer the full size, but if I look at my Buick, the spare is a
little smaller than the normal tires. They say to keep the speed down to
avoid burning the differential. Not a perfect solution, but fine for 10
miles or so. Especially when the British car shop is half way between my
house and the office.
Any help appreciated.
