Had one of those "I'm gonna die" moments last night!
I was heading out in the TR6, top down. Turned onto the 4 lane main drag
near my home. Start to up shift to 3rd gear, when the guy in front of me
locks his brakes. I do like wise, and before I can curse his rotten
driving skills, a wheel bounces between our cars!
The tire bounces past me, hits the embankment on the right side of the
road. It then bounces about 5 feet in the air and heads over the trunk
of my TR! As I turn to follow the tires flight toward the center line,
I notice a new Jeep CJ scrapping the pavement off the road, his left
front tire gone. A guy in a Honda barely missed getting the tire in his
windshield. The tire then hits a building and stops.
Whoa- talk about an adrenaline rush!
