Ed,
I am not sure if the Lucas Sport Coil is internally ballasted or not. You can
check it to see if it is internally ballasted by measuring the
resistance between the poles. An internally ballasted coil will have 3 to 4
ohms of resistance. If it is ballasted, use it as is. If it is not
ballasted and there is no external ballast resistance (either a ballast wire or
resistor), then you will have to add a 1.2 to 1.9 ohm external ballast
resistor between the COIL+ terminal and the ignition switch.
