This past week I've had some pesky missing after sitting at idle and
the car seems to be fumier than usual too. But too my surprise the
plugs not only weren't fouled but were the nicest tan color I've ever
seen. Anyway, it was a loose wire at the spade connector for the
ground wire, easy to troubleshoot and fix.
I had broken strands in the coil-to-condensor wire before -- luckily it
happened as I was leaving Bud R.'s house after his very nice
convoy-to-Breck picnic so I had several Really Smart Guys handy
(Dave Massey and Brad Kahler and Bud) -- so I knew about that.
And in a recent "no start" or "stuck engine" thread someone had
mentioned to double check all those little coil wires. I just wanted
to say "seriously, check those little wires."
Of course now I'm not sure where my fumes are coming from, a
leaky jet or two I guess.
