After seeing numerous discussions on the list about brake fluid pros and
cons I thought the following article from RPMNet might interest everyone.
http://www.rpmnet.com/techart/fluid.shtml
This also leads to a question does glycol based brake fluid attack
powder coating the same as normal paint.
When I bought my new Mighty Vac to bleed my new brakes the parts shop
recommended DOT 5.1 as the fluid of choice over silicon if the car was
going to be driven hard on a regular basis.
Based on the article from RPMNet I'll just change the DOT 5.1 fluid
every couple of years which isn't a big deal with the Mighty Vac.
