The term implies that the engine is built to the "blueprint" specifications.
In other words, all the components are exactly as the design was drawn
up. Manufacturing specifications for mass produced engines have built-in
tolerances over and under the blueprint specs. These variances will cause
the engine to perform at a level less than what it is capable of. Therefore,
"Blueprinting" simply enables a stock engine to perform at its greatest
potential.
