Cliff,
I'm guessing that you're having the most trouble with the last clip. The
tangs that go under the wheel cylinder are curved at their ends to hold the
clip in place when installed. Becuase of the curve, there isn't enough room
to slide the clip between the wheel cylinder and the backing plate. I had to
spread the tangs apart, slide the clip into place, and squeeze them back
together in order to install them.
