Thanks to you all for your replies. As the brakelights stay on, I can only
assume that the problem lies somewhere between the brakelight pressure switch
and the brake pedal.
As far as the pedal adjustment is concerned, I experimented about half on one
day, and adjusted the pedal connection to the push rod all the way out, and if
anything, the problem got a bit worse. I adjusted it inward and got a little
better results, but still had the problem.
I have concurrance that the problem could be in the inner spring, or a "spring
washer inside the MC. I will be dismantling the system sometime in January,
and will report results.
