Listers,
The TR7 VE # ACW 00066U sits comfortably in the garage. The "Look what I
found, can I keep it" line from Gary worked with the Wife. Andy was right I
knew I wanted it. Steven was right on too because the dealer took a little
over 20% under the asking price ( I know still too much for a TR7)
and Bill I would love to take it to Breckenridge.
It really is a nice find. I know that TR7`s are the unloved Triumphs but I
just could not resist. The interior is absolutely mint. The body is so - so
but all paint is original with only one rust bubble in the lower corner of
the right hand door. I have already gone over it with Mirror Glaze Fine Cut
Cleaner and touched up a bunch of nicks. It will look real good from 25 Feet
at 50 MPH. The engine bay will clean up decently.
The only bad news is the motor has a very slight knock which is undoubtedly a
rod bearing. I am hoping to be able to get in there and change them before
the crank is scored.
I received the bonus of the original Window Sticker and all the Manuals.
This Seven even passed a E-Check a year ago!
