David, The stator tube definitely has a slot in the end for the control head. I replaced my stator tube with a stainless steel remanufactured one a couple of years ago. I purchased it from Realey Healey, Inc., Rochelle Park, NJ phone: 973-402-7773 The cost for the non-adjustable one was $75.00 and it was beautiful, worked great. Good luck and as always, NFI & YMMV Jim Bauder '58 TR3 Palo Alto, CA /// /// triumphs@autox.team.net mailing list /// |
