No my 62 has been totally stripped an repainted. Interestingly when the
bonnet in question was stripped it revealed an etching that says: " The Abbey
Company of Wales Ltd." -"Abbey Works". It has a cool drawing of a dragon in
a car and says "Welsh Dragon". Under that it has the following Numbers in
this order.
8 1 62
5 6284 7
36 NA7 53
Now I suppose 8/1/62 could be a date code. The previous owner who restored
the car swears that it was unrestored when he got it with no evidence of a
bonnet change. I have his pictures that document this.
