Hi all,
I will be changing the window channels on a 74 TR6 in a few days and
wanted to know if there was anything special I should know. I assume the
window remains in the door? I scoured the usual TR info sites but not a
thing was written about the procedure. Eliminating one rattle at a time!

To replace them is a piece of cake.As soon as you have removed
the bolts and unlatched the rod at the bottom they will come out
downwards. You will have to push the small plate on the doorlock
towards the outer doorpanel to lower rear-one.
The biggest problem you will encounter is to get the pins back in
the window winder/door handle.
When everything is in place minus the pins depress the door bezel
and insert a long wire of about the same diameter into the pin-hole
from below. With a thin plier insert the pin from above while
retracting the wire downwards. Be patient and don't rush it, this
worked for me very well.
All the best
Jean
