Gary:
This past fall I sent to Nisonger an amp and a fuel gauge for rebuilding.
Both came back about three weeks later. Both gauges looked OK, considering
their pre-rebuild condition (original on a 54 TR2) but they just didn't have
that "wow" factor. Based on a friend's recommendation, I sent the remaining
four gauges (including tach and speedo) to MO-MA in Albuquerque, NM
(505-766-6661). So far, only the temp gauge has been returned from MO-MA and
the difference in quality of workmanship is just short of amazing. So much
of a difference in that now I must send Nisonger's work to MO-MA to make the
gauges equal in appearance.
Please don't get me wrong on this, but I had the unique opportunity to see
two of the country's gauge houses side by side and MO-MA won hands down. I
can't compare prices because MO-MA has yet to send a bill.
