adjusting carrera shocks

Hello all,
Just got new shocks and springs for the front of my TR3 and just wanted to
make sure how to pick the adjustment on the shock. They are Carrera and have
three settings. I think they work much like adjustable Koni's.
Do you push in and turn or pull them all the way out and turn?..
I'm trying to get some of these jobs wrapped up this weekend.
