Hi, Dale. No rules broken that I know of!

<< I have a couple of questions I would like to put forth:

Hmmm, kind of an "apples and oranges" comparison, or like trying to determine
which of your children you like best. :-) Two VERY different cars with some
obvious shared heritage (and a few parts). Which one would YOU rather have at
the moment? Spitfires are less expensive, but that's about the most
"quantifiable" criterion I can point to. ;-) Parts availability is actually
quite good for most any postwar Triumph, even the "family" cars.

<< 2. If a TR6, what year(s)? Any model year with
        significant problems/advantages? >>

I'll leave that to the TR6 folks!

<< 3. If Spitfire, MkIV or 1500? >>

Yes...or Spitfire 4, Spitfire 4 Mk2, or Spitfire Mk3! :-)

<< 4. Is there a TR6 or Spitfire or Triumph FAQ? >>

There are files for this list and for a Spitfires list (among others) at
ListQuest.com (?), and there is much information at, for example, <www.vtr.org>
and links from that site.

<< 5. Does anyone know of a Triumph organization
        in Austin? >>

I think probably the Texas Triumph Register (chapter of VTR) is closest to you?
They are linked to from "Chapters" at <www.vtr.org>.
