It's probably worth a try, but it's definitely more difficult than soldering
pipes in your house. One of the big problems is getting the radiator copper
clean enough to tin (take a coat of solder), another is that a radiator is
very thin to begin with, and leaking ones are usually even thinner.
I've tried repairing my own numerous times over the years, with mixed
results. These days, I just take it to the radiator shop down the road.
For the $30 they charge to repair and test one (and the free professional
opinion on whether it should be repaired), it's not worth taking a chance on
it leaking again.
Of course, there's always Aluma-seal ... <g>
