Sorry, but I don't buy this one. BMW is the one company that lined up with
Triumph in terms of what they offered the public. And until their
breakthrough with the 2002, followed up by the 320, they were in the same
financial position as Triumph as well.
I can't think of any modern manufacturer that offers a range of sports cars
and sporting sedans like BMW does.

Z3 - Spitfire
Z8 - TR Range
328 Cabrio - Stag
328 - Dolomite Sprint

etc....
