It depends on what you mean by not perfectly aligned. If they are off by a
little you should be ok. If they are off by 1/3" or so you might have the wrong
gasket for your car.
AFAIK (not that I am an expert) there were 2 different heads with respect to
the intake manifold spacing installed on NA TR6's. The early models (69-71) has
narrow intake spacing. The later model (72 on) has wide intake spacing.
I only know about this difference because the dimwits at REDLINE/Weber sent the
incorrect DCOE manifold to me over 2 months ago and still haven't been able to
get it straightened out. They continue to insist that their application guide
is correct. If anyone else has had this problem and been able to get the
correct parts from them could you please email me?
