NOBODY beats J C Whitless for buying power. One of their secrets, told to
me by one of their suppliers, was that they always pay their suppliers very
quickly. It is one of the ways they get the suppliers to agree to see to
them so cheaply.
>But more than double?
Probably not. Moss is interested in making money, of course. They simply
cannot hope to do it on the kind of volume that Whitless can. JCW continues
to be a great source of many items if you keep your wits about you. Their
min-wage order-takers may not be much help. "Does your car have
Alfa-Romeo?" is a phrase actually heard by someone attempting to buy a part
from them.
