I don't really know, never having driven an OD. But I can tell
you that with the stock engine, you got no torque at all below
3000 RPM, and I bet you'll notice launches are a lot less
exciting. OTOH, there's only a 200 RPM difference or so in top
gear at 65 MPH, between a non-OD car and one with OD engaged, so
highway cruising should be much more pleasant.
