GT6 gearbox help again please

The transmission shop has all of the parts now, low and behold the syncros
are for a '71-'73 and they DON'T fit.  It turns out that the needed syncros
are for the '66-'70, Spitbits to the rescue again :-) (Huge thanks to Nigel
for the parts and the advice).

Well after putting the gearbox back together they are finding it either too
loose or too tight.  From all apprearences the two versions of the gearbox
are the same with the exception of the syncros.  Is this the case and the
clearences stated for the later box be also used for the earlier one?  If
not does someone know the correct dimensions, different diagrams etc?

I have included my fax number if someone needs to fax me info. Any help
would be great at this point.
