VSCDA (Vintage Sports Car Drivers' Association) Blackhawk Classic at
Blackhawk Farms Raceway, Rockton, IL. 3 days of vintage racing fun, all on a
fun track with large grids and great weather (damn right I enjoyed myself!).
TRiumph was extremely well represented there:
Bill Dentinger - TR3
Bob Wismer - Thunderbolt Tornado (beautiful TRiumph powered special)
Don Brick - TR4
Gary Wisorek - TR4
Tony and Uncle Jack Drews - TR4
Joe Alexander - TR4
Jim Hill - TR6
John Houlton - TR4
Fred Lathom (sp?) - Spitfire
another unknown but very fast Spitfire
and me - TR4
In addition, ISOA, the Chicago area TRiumph club, had a campout at the track
that was attended by 15 - 20 street TR's.
If the TR4 you saw on the trailer was a red one, it was probably Joe
Alexander, heading to the TR/mg Challenge at Mid Ohio next weekend. It's
going to be fun!
