David,

This question was on the list a few weeks ago with the consensus that TR3
brakes are fine just the way they are. I agree with this. If your rotors and
pads are in good shape + hydraulics you should be able to stop on a dime. Even
with out power assist, they are the best brakes I have ever experienced in
over 32 years of driving MGs TR3s TR4s and a host of other foreign and
american cars. The large rotors, dual piston calipers and solid construction
make the difference here.
