Using jack stands...GT6+

On my Europa..when I wanted to use stands, I'd use a floor jack, centrally
located (the frame in front...the tranny in back) to raise the car evenly
(both sides at once). How do I do this with my GT6+? I'm really convinced
that I need to raise both sides together when using jack stands, rather than
raise one side first...am I way off?
