Eternal Rubber Bumper Question

I have the eternal rubber bumper question & looking through my back files
from the list, I can not find an answer for it. The bumpers on my '80 spit
are looking splotchy & grey, is there anything I can do to improve their
appearance other than painting them? I would like to clean them up for a
show this weekend & I don't have time to pull and paint them.
