Brad, a 1/2 inch would probably make the difference. As I said, if one has
the engine out and/or is replacing the mounts then installing a larger rubber
buffer or a washer might be a good idea. But since the belts don't need
replacement that often - IMO - it is not worth the trouble. The techniques I
outlined previously will work when changing the belt. Please keep us informed
if the oversized buffer/buffer with washer causes any other problelms.
