The production numbers are probably indicative of the number of cars remaining 
and interest in restoring them.  After all, I doubt that any of the general 
public has ever asked an MG owner if it's a Triumph.  For the masses of public 
who know little or nothing of our cars MG has become almost a generic term like 
Coke, Kleenex or Aspirin.
