Jack, this doesn't exactly answer your question, but for my TR6 . . . I
bought a cheap three-wheeled engine stand, then bolted a 2x4 on the
front-end to support the engine at the crank. i cut a curve in the 2x4
to cradle the crank. it seemed to distribute the weight nicely.
