Jeff - they can be a pain.

First, crease the cardboard at the bend points. I the one I got, these
are scored. You just have to make sure to bend them the right
direction. If my memory is functioning, I think they all bent in the
same direction. Unless there was a flap that went along the side of the
radiator.

Second, paint the thing before you put it in the car. The cardboard if
not coated will absorb moisture and just fall apart (been there, done
that). You may have to touch up the paint after it is in. (See ps
below)

If there aren't any holes in the bottom section of the front apron, you
can mark and drill or just use self tapping screws. Space/access is a
pain.

I fastened my together before I put it in. Not sure if that is the best
way, but I couldn't figure out how to do it otherwise.

Working through the grille opening, just work it in until the bottom
edge of the sides is up against the inside fender where it attaches to
the front apron. The only mounting screws are the ones at that bottom
edge.

Good luck.

Carl

PS. After mine fell apart from the moisture, I used it as a pattern and
made a new one out of aluminum soffit material. Much sturdier and I
enlarged it a little bit to fill in a couple gaps.
