Time for a silly question, did you check the fork to make sure it's not
distorted or cracked at the pivot (inside the bellhousing). The one in my
GT6 experienced metal fatigue in the "cup" that mates with the pivot, and
I'm considering having a machinist make one that could be bolted to the
fork - the result I'm looking for is to never have to worry about shelling
out over $100.00 for a fork. If the cost of making it turns out to be
reasonable, and it appears to work properly, who knows.
