I'm new to the group so forgive me if you've been down this path before, but the symptoms you describe sound like a failing throwout bearing. When the bearing goes south and the balls begin disintegrating it becomes increasingly difficult to engage gears. It then starts to make an awful grinding noise that gets rapidly worse and worse. Take note that there are some terribly cheap release bearings out there that won't last very long. |
