I'm guessing that the TR4 and TR6 use the same methods for holding the
fenders on (other than rust...)

There are 3 bolts through the a-post (door hinge area), 2 or 3 screws on
the front lower part (under headlight), and 8 screws on the top edge.
Remove all of these, if possible. Haynes suggest you soak 'em with
penetrant- but be prepared to use "any means necessary" to get them out.

During all this wrestling, try to remove the chrome bead intact. It's
held on by mild steel tabs, and some careful prying will usually dislodge
it.

Be prepared to cut away tack-welds holding the fender on. The factory did
NOT do this, but many bonehead bodyshops have "cheated" by tacking/brazing
the fender on, then installing the fasteners. C'mon guys, they were
bolted ON so that they could be bolted OFF!!

<ahem> sorry bout that...

If there's been lots of Bondo-work (or quick floor patches) be prepared to
break it. A sawzall (or a saber-saw w/ a metal blade) is good at
persuading obstinate metal. So is a cold chisel and an angle grinder; I
use a 1/16 or 3/64 wheel for most of my sheetmetal cutting.

Remember, go slow, an be careful...
