Right as usual Dan. It took me 2 tries to get it right. The first time,
all I did was remove the gear, rotate it 180deg and reinstall it. Needless
to say, that don't work. As you point out, the plastic gear and metal
plate need to be separated and rotated 180deg. Even doing it twice, its
only a 1/2 hour job and costs nothing in parts. Of course, you still need
to buy new wipers arms, bent to park on the left.
