Hey Dan,

As my one yearold would say, "Ut Ohh!". I had purchased a wiring harness from
a list member for a 75 TR6. The harness was in great condition, and matches
exactly the wiring diagram found in the back of the Haynes TR250/TR6 manual.
However the wiring harness had a modular connector for the ignition switch. My
ignition switch didn't have a modular connector, so I spliced the one off of
the wiring harness and hand soldered the wires on, using shrink-tubing to
insulate each wire. Perhaps I miss wired something there. I never thought
about it.

Since the alt is producing 13.88V I was pretty sure it was working.

As a side thought,if I measure the resistance of the wire between the IGN
light and the Battery, and I find a large reisistance could this be the source
of my problem? Howabout between the IGN light and the Alt?

Oh, and it pays to give these elaberate replies Dan, If you didn't mention
the ignition wiring I never would of thought of it.

Later,
