You can drive a TR6 every day. It used to be my only car. Keep in mind that
the car is at least 20-25 years old. This means several things: the car is
simple to work on, and you will need to work on it. If you find a car that
has been rebuilt/restored, some of the worn parts have been replaced,
saving you the trouble. The downside is the job may not have been done well
or right. Keep your eyes open and get the best car you can afford, or else
expect to play catch-up on repairs and maintenance. All of the problems you
cite are true to an extent, but all can be fixed relatively easily. Stay
away from rusty cars unless you are prepared to embark on a real project.
