Spitfire Mallory distributor

Does anyone know of a if a distributor for a 1976 Spitfire will fit in a
1970.  The reason I ask is that Vic. Brit. has a Mallory dist for 75-80 and
that is it.  I thought the distributor hole was the same.  Can anyone
enlighten me.   I am buying a Spitfire of 1970 and had the Mallory dist. in
another Spit at one time and liked the results.  Also does anyone know
where I can get a MSD ignition system?
