TR-6 Carb leak

Hello to All,

My rear ZS (stock) carb on my 72 TR is still leaking despite my best efforts. 
The leak appears to be coming from the starter/choke box on the side.  I
swapped the choke boxes between carbs and the leak got worse (the front still
did not leak however).  I already pulled the carb once and reverified the
float level and it seemed to be right on.  Before tearing the thing down
again, does anyone have any sage advice on what might be wrong here?
