I have been running Champion L87Y plugs for over 30 years in various
TR wet sleeved engines, never a problem if I change them every 10K
miles. I have found that they begin to lose performance after that.
The Ford 300-6 Pickup will work OK for 25K miles on Champions. Of the
other plugs listed I had the best experience with the Bosch. Since the
L87Y, Champion has recently changed the designation, I do not have it at
my finger tips, is a VW plug we should be able to get them for years to
come. A Rose Auto near me closed and was selling everything cheap, so I
bought every L87Y they had.
