I have always heard that you should paint things like radiators and brake drums black and avoid silver since black will dissipate heat better. This is why wood stoves are usually black. I have always used regular semi-gloss black on mine. I don't think they get hot enough to damage the paint. BBQ paint should be fine. Dave |
