My Gearbox with overdrive are coming out in the next few days and I just
thought I'd seek some wisdom from those who know how, or even those who
have learnt from past mistakes:-)
1. Would things go more smoothly if two persons were involved in the
extraction, perhaps using some sort of sling/support at the O/D end?
2.The starter looks to be a nuisance in the operation.
The prime reason for the removal is to re-bush the clutch shaft- but as I
don't plan to do this form of servicing too frequently , what other items
should be "a must" to renew/replace/adjust/modify/etc., while I am going to
all this effort?
The gear box and O/D is going to a "specialist" for a diagnosis of wear and
tear - they work well enough, although it jumps out of second gear on the
"overrun".
Hope you can help please.
