You ask: " Does anyone know which hole is the inlet & which is the outlet for the oil cooler on the adaptor?" The easiest way to tell is hold the hoses while the engine is running; the warmer hose will be the supply hose, the cooler one will be the return. Make sense? It is possible to put the oil filter either before or after the cooler. There are differing opinions on which is "correct".
