Paul, good to see you on the list. Go to
www.vtr.org/maintain/paint-charts/standard.jpg for some colors from 1965
(some of them were not available in '61. Your car could have been painted
Spa White, Powder Blue, British Racing Green, Black, or Signal Red. Ther
were also a very few '61 cars painted Velaquez Cream. (since yours was so
early that was probably a choice).

Signal Red is still available - from DuPont #83733-H. That number can be
cross referenced to other paint brands such as Martin Senior and Ditzler.

For Concours you would want to be as close as possible to the original. But,
as always - it's your car, your choice. How are the calipers coming?

Oh. You might want to get the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Fund
(BMIHTF) build data for your car. It is a certificate (suitable for framing)
showing the date the car was built and all Ser.#'s, options, etc.as well as
where it was originally shipped. Give me a shout and I'll tell you how to do
that. Cheers.
